Refugees, asylees, and other immigrants come from situations in their native country where they may have experience intense trauma. The level of trauma can intensify when stress levels increase due to financial and environmental challenges felt from moving to a new environment.

Implementing a mental well-being program is essential for fostering a supportive and healthy work environment. Here are some key components we use for an effective mental well-being program:

Counseling and Support Services

Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) offer confidential counseling services to employees dealing with personal or work-related issues. Our liaisons and success coaches provide access to on-site or virtual mental health professionals for consultations and therapy sessions.

Stress Management and Resilience Training

Regular workshops and seminars on stress management, resilience building, and coping strategies are provided by EmploLink. We understand firsthand the challenges our clients have experienced in their life and previous culture. Employee clients are directed to participate in mindfulness and meditation sessions to help manage stress and improve focus.

Mental Health Awareness

By providing training and education, we help employees and managers recognize signs of mental health issues and how to find support. We reduce the stigma of mental illness by offering open conversations about mental health.

Work-Life Balance

By working closely with the families of employees in the beginning, we lay a foundation for the family to ultimately become self-reliant. Our six-month goal is designed to help families reduce stress in the home by helping them integrate into American or Canadian culture by providing assistance in finding a home, transportation, services and government assistance if needed. This reduces stress which directly impacts their success in the workplace.

Mentoring and Peer Support Programs

We counsel employees to find commonalities with co-workers who can provide onsite support and comradery. In addition, where applicable, EmploLink will provide a lead onsite support coach to help manage larger groups within a structured mentoring program

Recognition and Rewards

Regularly acknowledging and celebrating employees' achievements and contributions to boost morale and motivation from EmploLink’s success coaches is critical.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement

EmploLink regularly gathers feedback from employees to ensure they are doing the things that help their mental well-being. Open communication is used to help employees feel comfortable sharing their concerns and suggestions.
By incorporating these elements, we create a comprehensive mental well-being program that supports the mental health and overall well-being of your employees.
